Is Walmart open on Christmas Day 2020?

You will have to wait until Dec. 26 if you want to shop at Walmart.

The country’s largest retailer is closed on Christmas Day (Dec. 25). Most stores closed at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and will reopen at 7 a.m. on Dec. 26.

Walmart return policy

Walmart offers an extended holiday policy for returns. Post-paid wireless phones purchased in store have a 14 day return period from the date of purchase. Post-paid wireless phones purchased from Walmart.com may be returned within 14 days of delivery.

Walmart is also launching its new Carrier Pickup by FedEx program to make it easier to return gifts. To start a return, you can go to the Walmart App or Walmart.com and then:

Select “Drop off at FedEx” as the return method
Get a return code / QR code
Take packaged return along with the QR code to any FedEx Office location.
A FedEx associate will scan the QR code, print a free return label, attach it to the box and ship it back to Walmart.

There are also some changes in-store for those who bring items back to the store.

No matter where a customer bought items – in-store, online or from a third-party vendor - customers can start their return online via the Walmart app or on Walmart.com. If customers don’t have a Walmart account, they can also type or click www.walmart.com/startreturn to save time in line and make returning at the store easier.

For many online returns, refunds will be credited to customers’ payment account sometimes as soon as the next day, and same day for in-store returns.
